Time period: Rupelian to Chattian of the Oligocene.
Fossil representation: Several specimens but only of partial remains.

       Xenorophus was a predatory whale that so far has only been found in the marine fossil Formations of‭ ‬South Carolina.‭ ‬Xenorophus is also the type genus of the Xenorophidae which also includes Albertocetus and Archaeodelphis.
