Qianxisaurus

Name: Qianxisaurus.
Phonetic: Kwan-ze-sore-us.
Named By: Y. N. Cheng, X. C. Wu, T. Sato, H. Y. Shan - 2012.
Classification: Chordata, Reptilia, Sauropterygia, Eosauropterygia.
Species: Q. chajiangensis (type).
Diet: Carnivore/Piscivore?
Size: Skull 7.6 centimetres long. Total body length at least 80 centimetres long.
Known locations: China - Guizhou Province.
Time period: Ladinian of the Triassic.
Fossil representation: Almost complete skeleton.

       Described in 2012, the original describers of Qianxisaurus described the holotype as a basal eosauropterygian.
