Name: Itasuchus.
Phonetic: I-ta-soo-kus.
Named By: Llewellyn Ivor Price‭ ‬-‭ ‬1955.
Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Reptilia,‭ ‬Crocodylomorpha,‭ ‬Notosuchia,‭ ‬Trematochampsidae.
Species: I.‭ ‬jesuinoi‭ (‬type‭)‬.
Diet: Carnivore/Piscivore.
Size: Skull‭ ‬37‭ ‬centimetres long.‭ ‬Total body length estimated to be about‭ ‬3‭ ‬meters long.
Known locations: Brazil‭ ‬-‭ ‬Mar�lia Formation.
Time period: Maastrichtian of the Cretaceous.
Fossil representation: Skull.

       Itasuchus is a genus of extinct notosuchian from the late Cretaceous of Brazil.‭ ‬Itasuchus is considered to have been similar to Barreirosuchus which is from slightly earlier during the late Cretaceous,‭ ‬and Caririsuchus which is known from the late early Cretaceous.‭ ‬All three of these genera are known from Brazil.
