Daxiatitan

Name: Daxiatitan ‭(‬Daxia titan‭)‬.
Phonetic: Dax-e-ah-tie-tan.
Named By: H-L.‭ ‬You,‭ ‬D-Q Li,‭ ‬L-Q Zhou‭ & ‬Q Ji‭ ‬-‭ ‬2008.
Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Reptilia,‭ ‬Dinosauria,‭ ‬Saurischia,‭ ‬Sauropodomorpha,‭ ‬Sauropoda,‭ ‬Titanosauria,‭ ‬Titanosauroidea.
Species: D.‭ ‬binglingi‭ (‬type‭)‬.
Diet: Herbivore.
Size: Uncertain but roughly estimated to be around‭ ‬21‭ ‬meters long for the holotype, possibly longer.
Known locations: China,‭ ‬Gansu Province.
Time period: Early Cretaceous.
Fossil representation: Partial remains.

       Daxiatitan is another one of the really big early Cretaceous sauropods from China. T‭he holotype remains are considered to be from an individual twenty-one meters long, though Daxiatitan is also thought to have possibly also grown bigger than this.‭ ‬Daxiatitan was named after branch of the Huang He River.‭ ‬Another large sauropod with a naming connection to this‭ ‬river‭ ‬is Huanghetitan.
